Backwoods Bumpers was created in 2007 inside a shop in Evan House’s backyard in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ten years later, with just four full-time employees, the company designed and made a complete line of accessories for most late-model trucks in addition to SUVs, Jeeps and vans. The products became especially popular with truck modification enthusiasts and overland sprinter van owners.

In 2017, Evan sold his company to Springdale-based Chandler Equipment Inc. to expand manufacturing capabilities for their line of quality off-road aftermarket steel & aluminum bumpers. Backwoods moved from its original location and into Chandler's 65,000 square foot production facility, which allowed for growth in new products, automation, and production quality.

CEO, Chris Chandler and the team rebranded the company to Backwoods Adventure Mods. Today, the company designs, fabricates and customizes bumpers and modifications for trucks, Jeeps, SUVs and vans. Despite BAM's success and rapid growth, the Backwoods team holds fast to its roots. A DIY attitude and willingness to take creative leaps inspired Evan to create his first custom bumper and continues to inspire the team today to always push forward with new ideas and products.
